DrupalCamp Spain wil take place in Conil de la Frontera a quite fisherman's village near the Atlantic Ocean, in Costa de la Luz, southwest of Cádiz province. With 14 km of coast with clean water and fine golden sand. Long beaches, wide and open like Castilnovo, Los Bateles, La Fontanilla, El Roqueo, La Fuente del Gallo, La playa de Roche to La Torre del Puerco. There are also small beaches (Calas) hidden between the cliffs, surrounded by pine tree forests that provide coverage during windy days. Calas like El Puntalejo, Cala del Aceite, Calas of Roche like Tío Juan de Medina, Cala del Pato, Cala del Frailecillo and Cala Encendida.

ACCOMMODATION

You can find different accommodation options in Conil that suit your needs: Hotels, Hostels, Rural Houses, Flats, Apartments, Lofts and Campings; all of them in the village and nearby for those that are looking for relax and tranquility in a natural environment.

TRANSPORT

Closest airports are Jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla and Málaga, being international airports with a lot destinations worldwide. Once you get to the airport there are different options to get to Conil: Rent a Car, Take a Cab, Train or even Bus.

From Jerez: You can take a Bus or a Cab (around 12€) from the airport to Jerez Bus Station where you can take a bus to Cádiz or Algeciras which stops in Conil de la Frontera. (Buses timetable)

Another option is renting a car which is not expensive at all and there are multiple companies in the same Airport like Europcar, Europa, Avis and Centauro. There are around 65km. between Jerez and Conil de la Frontera hay aproximadamente  which takes close to 30 minuts by car. Just take A-4 road to Cádiz and switch to N-340 road that heads to Conil de la Frontera.

From Sevilla: You can take the Bus or a Cab to Santa Justa Train Station where you will find trains to San Fernando or Cádiz  which is the closest cities to Conil. Trains are frequently regular and there are different options that take around 1h and 40min. Once you get to San Fernando or Cádiz you must take a Cab or a Bus to Conil.

Another option is Car Pooling companies like BlaBlacar or Rent a Car in the same Airport in Sevilla.

From Malaga: Bus company Comes offers Buses from Málaga to Conil. The best option is the trip Málaga-Algeciras-Cádiz.

Another option is to take the train to Sevilla and from Sevilla try Train or Bus options to Conil.

TRANSPORTATION IN CONIL

Conil is a small village which allows to walk everywhere during DrupalCamp Spain with distances no longer than 10-15 minutes, so you won't need any car once you get here. During May temperatures are warm and small possibility of rain so walk or bike rental us the best option here. Apart of enjoying the beautiful village during your walk you can also have interesting discussions with other attendees. During this week, the Wild Red Tuna Tapas Route will take place so you can have the chance of enjoying the best gastronomic experience in the region.
